This stamp issue features four significant buildings located in three regional Australian towns: the Bathurst Courthouse in New South Wales, which was opened in 1880; the Marvel Bar Hotel, built in 1898 in the then-prosperous gold mining town of Coolgardie, Western Australia; and the Gawler Institute building and the adjacent Town Hall, completed in 1871 and 1878 respectively in the South Australian town of Gawler.
