Delivering a better tomorrow

For over 200 years, Australia Post has been delivering essential services to all Australians. As the world has changed and evolved, we’ve continued to be a trusted part of communities across the country.

Our 2025 Sustainability Roadmap set out to deliver positive outcomes for people, communities and the planet.

We focused on empowering people to work safely, supporting Australia’s diverse communities, and minimising our environmental impact through initiatives such as reducing emissions and waste.

By collaborating with partners and making responsible decisions, we aimed to create sustainable solutions for all Australians.

Australia Post is uniquely positioned to help deliver a better tomorrow. With a presence in every community and connections to every Australian, the actions we take and the choices we make have a significant impact across the country.

Circular Clothing Service

We launched a pilot program for R.M. Williams’ customers with support from Seamless.

For a limited time, R.M. Williams’ customers were able to recycle shirts and t-shirts (from any brand) at the end of their useful life.

The pilot has now ended – stay tuned for future updates.

Delivering our 2025 Sustainability Roadmap

Audio (Jane): By virtue of the fact that Australia Post is in every community dealing with every Australian, the things that we do make a big difference and the choices we make every day, whether it's the electric vehicles that we deliver our packages and mail in, or it's the choices we make about the customers and communities that we support through our community partnerships or the sustainable packaging options that we choose. All of those things add up to making a big difference to Australia.

The direction forward

Our 2025 Sustainability Roadmap has come to an end.  We’re excited to share our direction forward in early 2026 as we continue delivering for the future.

Climate change and resource scarcity are transforming our world – impacting ecosystems, communities, and the way we operate. As customer expectations evolve and global supply chains face new pressures, we’re responding to these challenges with action.

Our 2030 Sustainability Framework will focus on the areas where we can drive the greatest impact - decarbonisation and circularity - while continuing to foster inclusive, thriving communities and workplaces across the country.

Our 2025 Sustainability Roadmap

Our 2025 Sustainability Roadmap outlined our plan to deliver a sustainable future. One that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet theirs. Underpinned by UN Sustainable Development Goals, our roadmap was built around six key initiatives.
