Australia Post has lodged a draft Price Notification with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), proposing an increase to the BPR for small letters from $1.70 to $1.85, and prices for Regular large letters, delivered at the regular timetable, with effect from mid-late 2026.
Australia Post is also planning changes to the pricing of other domestic letter services. There is no change to the price of concession stamps - $3.00 for a booklet of five stamps - or the seasonal greeting card price, which will remain at $0.65 each. Effective Monday 2 February 2026, the number of concession stamps that eligible customers can purchase will increase from 50 to 75.
The table below shows the proposed pricing to apply from mid-late 2026 for domestic letters. Confirmation on these prices and the date of effect will be provided once the regulatory process is finalised.
