Frequently asked questions

Proof that you've returned a parcel will depend how you've sent it back for return.

If you’re returning to a retailer who has provided us with your email address, you’ll receive:

  • an email confirming that we’ve got it
  • an email confirming it’s been delivered to the retailer.

If the retailer hasn’t given us your email address:

  • returns through a Free 24/7 Parcel Locker receive a lodgement track event and an email confirmation of lodgement
  • returns made over the counter at a Post Office will receive a receipt and have a track event recorded.

Note that parcels returned via a Street Posting Box are usually scanned within 24 hours of being lodged.

When returning a parcel, you can easily reuse the packaging that your item was delivered in. If it was delivered in a satchel, it’s as easy as turning it inside out. If it’s a carton or box, just repack your item and place an address label over the existing one.
