Debra Hazelton was appointed to the Australia Post Board in October 2023 (current term expires in October 2026).
Debra has over 30 years’ experience in global financial services, with a particular focus on Australia and Japan. She has senior executive experience across treasury, institutional banking, risk management and global financial markets as well as business development and human resources/organisational culture.
Debra is an experienced non-executive director currently also serving as Chair of Export Finance Australia and as a non-executive director on the boards of Persol Co. Ltd (Tokyo Stock Exchange: 2181), Westpac Group (where she is also Chair of the Remuneration Committee) and Jawun. Debra is also Vice President of the Australia-Japan Business Cooperation Committee and was recently awarded the Japanese Minister of Foreign Affairs Commendation for 2024.
Debra is a former Chair of AMP Ltd, AMP Bank and Treasury Corporation of Victoria.
