It’s easy to send with a Parcel Locker

To send or return your eligible1 parcel with a free 24/7 Parcel Locker, you’ll need your labelled parcel and mobile phone. If you’re returning an item and your retailer has provided you with a prepaid return label, remove any previous labels and attach your return label.

You’ll receive a verification code which will enable you to open a locker door so you can lodge your item.

  • 1. Pack your item

    Use a prepaid satchel2, or pay for postage online with a free MyPost account. Once paid, you can print out a postage label and attach it to your parcel.

  • 2. Get code

    Follow the prompts on the screen, select ‘drop off’ and enter your mobile number to receive a verification code.

  • 3. Open locker

    Enter the verification code sent to your mobile phone into the locker screen, scan your labelled parcel, and place your eligible parcel securely in the Parcel Locker.

  • 4. Start tracking

    Once you’ve dropped your item in a Parcel Locker you’ll get an email with tracking details.3

When you visit a Parcel Locker and choose to send or return a parcel, you’ll be asked to scan your eligible parcel and enter your mobile number. You'll receive a verification code by SMS to keep the service secure. Enter that code on the touch screen then scan your parcel and a Parcel Locker door will open to enable you to lodge your parcel.

Yes. For safety and security reasons, the following items can't be delivered to (or sent from) a Parcel Locker:

  • Letters and standard mail that can be delivered to your letterbox
  • Express Post letters
  • Registered Post items
  • Parcels larger than 35 x 44 x 61cm
  • Parcels heavier than 16kg
  • Parcels that require proof of identity
  • Parcels that require the recipient's ID to be recorded at delivery
  • Parcels where there is a payment required on delivery
  • Parcels that are damaged or unsuitably packaged
  • Parcels delivered by a courier that has chosen not to deliver to our parcel lockers
  • Parcels containing perishables

Parcels containing alcohol will only be permitted if the customer is over the age of 18 and has verified their date of birth.

You can register to receive parcels at up to 10 Parcel Locker locations with a free MyPost account.

To add another Parcel Locker address or change an existing one, simply log in to your MyPost account and select ‘Parcel Lockers’ from your ‘Delivery addresses’. Search for a location that suits you and then select ‘Add’.

Parcels dropped off at a Parcel Locker will be collected by us by the end of the next Business Day.

Because of this, Express Post next business day delivery and the Express Post guarantee are unavailable for articles lodged in a Parcel Locker. We recommend that you post your Express Post item by the collection cut-off time in a yellow street posting box or over the counter at your local Post Office.

Note: Express Post articles can be delivered to Parcel Lockers to the same service standard as to homes and businesses in the surrounding area.

Our 24/7 Parcel Lockers have a secure electronic locking system. It’s activated via a console using unique access codes provided for each parcel delivery.
 

All Parcel Lockers have battery backup and a secure electronic locking mechanism. If the power fails, the locker unit will close down and all doors will remain shut. The unit will restart when the power is restored.

You have 48 hours to collect your parcel once it has arrived at a Parcel Locker, or 10 business days to collect once it has arrived at a Parcel Collect (Post Office) location.
