In financial year 2025 we delivered more than 2.2 billion items around the country and had more than 204.5 million visits from members of the Australian community to our Post Office network.

As a Government Business Enterprise (GBE), Australia Post is a self-funded business with both commercial and Community Service Obligations. Any profit we earn is either used to pay a dividend to our shareholder (the Australian Government) or reinvested in our assets and services, so that we’re equipped to meet the changing needs of our customers and communities and can deliver a better tomorrow for another 200 years.

  • With 4,118 Post Offices, we have one of Australia’s largest retail footprints – and 2,523 of these Post Offices are outside major cities.

    • 11,800+ street posting boxes
    • 5,176 electric delivery vehicles and electric bikes 
    • 1,000+ parcel locker banks at over 915 locations1
  • We deliver to 12.8 million delivery points across Australia.
  • More than 2.2 billion items were processed in FY25.

  • 256,000 small businesses supported with MyPost Business.

  • Five million prepaid postcards promoting Beyond Blue's mental health support services distributed across Australia.
  • 140,781 books delivered to children in remote First Nations communities; over 600,000 since 2020.
  • Over 200 grants supporting community organisations across Australia.

  • We directly employ a workforce of more than 34,000 team members (excluding casuals and contractors). Overall, we have more than 64,000 team members and extended workforce in our delivery, retail and operational networks.
  • With 6.5% of our workforce identifying as having disability, we continue to enhance the accessibility of our workplace.
  • We are proud that 3.0% of our workforce identify as Indigenous; and actively encourage further team members to self-identify and join our Mob@Post community.
  • 37.0% of our total workforce are female, 3.9% identify as LGBTQIA+ and 31.7% are from a culturally and linguistically diverse background.
  • Our employees represent 143 nationalities.

  • Australia Post supports the Australian Government’s commitment to Net Zero by 2050.
  • Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions reduced by 20% since FY19.
