What's changing?

We're redesigning your MyPost Business savings model.

We’re making MyPost Business fairer by changing how we calculate your savings band by moving from volume to spend based savings.

Your savings band is currently based on the number of eligible parcels you’ve sent with MyPost Business. From 4 July 2022, your savings band will be calculated based on how much you’ve spent in MyPost Business, that is, your total parcel sending costs1. We’ll review your total eligible spend over the previous four weeks, or the previous 12 months – and apply the band that offers you the greatest savings.

We’re also including more products and services in your total spend, including domestic and international parcel sending, pickups, extra cover, returns and signature on delivery. This will count towards your parcel sending total and assist you in moving up to a higher savings band sooner.

You’ll be able to watch your savings grow as you move up the bands. The higher the savings band, the more you’ll save on domestic and international sending. In our new model, if you’re eligible to move up a band, you’ll move up the next day. You’ll stay in the same savings band for 4 weeks, even if your parcel sending drops.

You can watch this video to understand how the new savings model will work.

Speaker 1 (00:00):

One of the smartest things about a MyPost Business account is that it can save you money on sending parcels. Just ask Kim. She's just started her online surf shop and is slowly building a loyal customer base. After spending just $50 on parcel sending in her first four weeks, she's already on the first savings band. She now saves 10% sending parcels in her city and 5% on parcels going to her US customers. But that's just for starters. There are five savings bands all up, and Kim's savings will grow as she spends more on parcel sending and moves up bands. If she reaches the pinnacle, band five, she saves up to 40% sending parcels within Australia, and up to 35% sending overseas.

Speaker 1 (00:50):

Kim's business often drops off in winter, but the good news is her savings band is based on how much she's spent on parcel sending over the last four weeks or the last 12 months, whichever gives her more savings, and it includes her domestic and international sending. What's more, if Kim's parcel sending goes up, say when a certain celebrity gives her a shout out on social, she'll move up to the next eligible savings band the following day. When Kim wants to check which savings band she's on, she can just log into the MyPost Business portal. Hey, you've reached band three. Nice work, Kim. MyPost Business. It's a smart move.

New MyPost Business features

  • We’re expanding access to Zone 1 pricing by increasing the Zone 1 catchment to include some major regional cities. This means an additional 511 postcodes will be eligible for Zone 1 MyPost Business savings when sending to a same state capital city.
  • We’re making booking a pickup2 easier through the online portal. Parcels will no longer need to be attached to an order to organise a pickup. We’ll soon collect up to 100 parcels at a time, across any number of orders, as well as any letters you may be sending.
  • We’re partnering with more eCommerce partners than ever before. By 4 July 2022, we’ll have over 15 online stores, eCommerce platforms, shipping platforms and Marketplaces integrated into MyPost Business.
  • We’re making returns3 easier. You can now use the online portal to create a return label from the original label, with all the customer details already pre-populated.
