Some key findings:
- 9.5 million households shopped online in the past year, that’s 82% of all Australian households, up 1.4% year-on-year (YoY).
- Consumers chose to make more frequent but smaller purchases, with an average basket size of $98.10, down by 4.6% from last year.
- Black Friday was this year’s standout event, seeing a huge 88% leap in number of online purchases compared to 2019.
