We have announced our 2024 financial year results, reporting a pre-tax loss of $88.5 million, compared to last year’s loss of $200.3 million.
This improved performance is due to the implementation of the Post26 strategy and first phase reforms, which we are focused on delivering a simplified and sustainable business while reducing costs and improving services.
The structural decline of the Letters business remains, with letter volumes falling to a level we haven’t seen in Australia since the 1950’s, while our population has increased three-fold.
We have more work to do to ensure Australia Post is sustainable and can deliver for communities for another 200 years.
