We’re proud to support the Red Cross Pillowcase Program, now in its 10th year and delivering workshops to more than 6,000 children every year 🙌
In each workshop, kids learn two essentials: the practical steps of preparing an emergency kit, and the emotional tools to cope when disasters happen.
The program focuses on remote and disaster-prone high-risk areas, including First Nations communities in the Kimberley and Wheatbelt regions, helping build resilience where it’s needed most.
For Steve, Postal Manager in📍6725, Broome, the impact is clear:
💬 “Over the last 3 years, I've experienced multiple floods and weather events which have resulted in major arterial roads being shut down. Empowering and educating school children on preparedness not only makes a difference to themselves, but their families and the resilience of the whole community. I'm incredibly proud. This program will contribute to the recovery of our communities if another event occurs."
Thank you to the volunteers, facilitators and community leaders who make this program possible.
Together, with Australian Red Cross, we’re building resilience - one pillowcase at a time 🤝 #DisasterPreparedness #AustraliaPost #RedCross #PillowcaseProgram
