When team member Tia Uhlmann began writing a book for her children and grandchildren, she set out to ensure her family’s story wouldn’t be lost. What she uncovered was a powerful legacy of love, survival and cultural strength, including the story of Clara, her great-great-grandmother, who fought to reunite with her stolen daughter.
As we mark NAIDOC Week 2025 and its theme “The Next Generation – Strength, Vision and Legacy”, Tia’s, story is a moving reminder of why connection to culture, Country and family must be carried forward.
