What is it?

A Business Credit Account is a quick and easy way to manage your deliveries and access a range of handy services to help your business grow.

Apply for free via MyPost Business. Once approved, you’ll have access to an online My Business Account where you can manage your invoices. This is separate to MyPost Business. You’ll be able to charge the following products and services to your My Business Account:

  • letter and parcel services
  • postage meter resets
  • pre-paid envelopes and satchels (including Express Post)
  • courier service
  • packaging
  • mail redirection and mail holding services
  • data and marketing solutions
  • stationery and office supplies.

Manage your account online

Once your Business Credit Account is set up, you can access it 24/7 with an online My Business Account.

A My Business Account lets you easily manage your Business Credit Account activity across all Australia Post products and services. With an online My Business Account, you can:

  • Manage your details or contact us with a few clicks of your mouse

  • Pay your Australia Post tax invoices online (you can even pre-pay) easily and securely

  • Access current and previous tax invoices to view or download in easy to use formats (PDF or CSV) 

  • Review and reconcile your transactions in one central place 

  • Access 13 months of processed payment history and over 4 years of your account balance history

Online application form for parcel senders

If you spend over $1000 each month on Australia Post parcel sending services, log into MyPost Business. Click on the ‘Services’ page to access the online Business Credit Account application form. It takes less than 10 minutes to complete.

For other senders, pick up a form at your local Post Office

If you spend over $1000 each month on Australia Post services, including letter sending, packaging and stationery and office supplies, visit your local Post Office and pick up a Business Credit Account Application form. You can post your form back to us (address details on the form) or email a PDF version to newcreditaccount@auspost.com.au

Things to know

To submit this application, you’ll need:

  • Business details, including your ABN, registered address and business type
  • Director details, including name, address and date of birth
  • Bank account details to set up direct debit
  • Details of other suppliers you currently have credit terms with to provide as references

You must be 18-years or older and a director of the business to complete this form.

If you have everything listed above ready, the online form should take 5-10 minutes to complete.

Opening a Business Credit Account and online MyBusiness Account is free.

The following fees apply:

  • No application fees
  • No ongoing administration fees
  • $10 direct debit dishonour fee
  • $5 administration fee for overdue invoice, plus a late payment charge1 applied to the overdue invoice amount:
    • 0.2% of the overdue amount for credit terms of less than 30 days; or
    • 1.5% of the overdue amount for credit terms of 30 days or more

You can download your statements from the My Business Account app (MBA), located within the Merchant Portal.
