Bulk mail changes
From 3 March 2025 a fee will be introduced for non-conforming bulk mail lodgements. And from 1 July 2025 Clean Mail will no longer be available. Instead, customers will be able to lodge mail as PreSort Letters Unbarcoded.

Want to send fewer than 300 items with postage paid by an approved postage meter, and they're not machine addressed, barcoded or sorted? Use Metered or Imprint Mail.
As well as Priority delivery, Imprint/Metered mail offers the option of a lower cost Regular delivery service for non-time critical mail.

With both Metered and Imprint Mail, you can send the following weight and size letter or parcel.

- an Australia Post business credit account

Using Metered/Imprint Mail is easy
Metered Mail
Simply put a postage meter imprint on your items to the correct postage value, and post them in a street posting box or over the counter at any Post Office.
If required, complete the Metering lodgement form (PDF 115kB).
Imprint Mail
Use a postage paid imprint and lodge your items over the counter at any Post Office, with a completed Full Rate Mail mailing statement (PDF 563kB)
Letters Lodgement Correction Fee
Acceptance staff at the lodgement facility will perform an inspection to determine if a lodgement satisfies the conditions of the service.
If articles within a lodgement do not satisfy the conditions of the service, you may be charged a Letters Lodgement Correction Fee.
A fee will be charged when articles are;
- lodged without a mailing statement or other required lodgement documentation
- lodged with an incorrect mailing statement or lodgement document
- incorrectly prepared or presented according to the service guidelines.
